Up in the rafters, in his nest,
Where in day he comes to rest.
Wait ‘til night, ‘til time is right,
Wait ‘til misty, starless night.
Your eyes are deep, dark, bright,
Wide as you search the night.
With hearted face and hearted soul,
Hunt for mouse, rate, vole.
Body, bead, power immense,
Mussels strong, mighty, tense,
Dew tipped feathers, brown and white,
Silent master of the night.
