Excellence Award in the 'Read Write Repeat 2015' competition
Her whole life she felt like she had no meaning,
Her idea and thoughts of herself were demeaning,
Her constant thoughts burdening her mind,
Too often, a smile was hard to find,
The walls she'd built up were slowly weakening,
And her emotions inside were quickly deepening,
She'd constantly repeat the words, 'I'm fine',
But even her 'fine' was loosing it's shine,
This was until she went away,
When suddenly she was happier in the day,
Her smile became real and her laugh no longer fake,
She had a happiness that nobody could take,
Quickly, these strangers became her friends,
They helped give her thoughts a good cleanse,
They gave her a friendship like no other,
There are no other friends that she would rather,
