Life begins, a child is born
The thief perceives it’s time has come
It stretches out it’s fingers worn
And grasps the life begun.
Oblivious, the doomed boy grows
Flourishing in a world that groans
Chasing every breeze that blows
While the thief more time it loans.
But as one entangled in a snare of death
Floods of destruction over him swept
Alas that he draws his final breath
Never again to resurrect
So time passes, it is the thief
It steals much and leaves only grief.
