Perhaps we do not see through the disguise,
Or perhaps we do not realise.
Even though our hearts let in the fuzzy feeling,
Of their heavenly warmth that sends our minds reeling.
Our besotted hearts melt like confection,
Often lost with no direction.
But our destined paths are already laid and paved,
To withstand any affair no matter how grave.
Sorrow can hit like a jagged arrow,
But never lose to the harrow.
One must still know to smile when all is washed away,
And to keep their head up, do not let their pride fray.
So we spread our arms and catch the fragments,
Whether it be bliss or lament.
As they fall like a gentle feather from above,
We finally understand the fragments of love.
