It lurks in the shadows,
Hides behind the screens,
Hangs around the school grounds, sits at the workplace,
It happens in different places, but targets the same races,
My race, your race, his race, her race.
Like an arrow, it strikes fast and cuts deep;
Shoots you with words, scars you with thoughts;
Spills poison filled with hate, that circulates in your mind,
That cripples your feelings,
And tears you down from the inside.
Equality has no colour,
Our blood is all the same,
Equality is only fair,
And we should breath the same air,
There should be a place full of value and worth,
And although it's not now, that place should be earth.
