Can You Guess What I Am?

I lay beneath the earth,
The grave pressure piled on top of me.
I want to protect myself, but I have no means to.
My wooden body is warped beyond recognition,
And my metal framework is all but rust.
I must continue for the sake of another,
A long lost soul, an empty shell,
So I remain in this eternal hell.
