Oceans
Stretching as far as the mind can see
But eyes are closed
And veiled with glistening salt
Rivers flow down cheeks
Desperate waterfalls flooding cheekbones
And eyelashes gleam black as night
Sky lit up bright through the haze in front
Blurring life like pouring rain
And nothing can touch you
For you're stranded in the oceans you've made
An island untouchable fenced in by pain
And your tears continue to fall.
