Brave and courageous young men darting towards death,
until they're sprawled on the dirt taking one final breath.
Thoughts of the possible peace to come,
but for dinner they don't get one single crumb.
Black, smokey, sooty air,
reeking of love loss and despair.
They're never sure they'll be alive tomorrow,
while their families at home are engulfed in sorrow.
Bombs louder than thunder having a tantrum,
guns firing non stop like a colossal, beating drum.
Fighting for a country they may never return to,
so much pain and loyalty, fighting for you.
