Long after the firefly disappeared,
The traces of light remained within me.
It's pale.
Faint glow hovering on and on in the darkness.
Behind my eyelids like a lost soul.
More than once
I tried stretching my hand out in the dark,
My fingers touching nothing.
The glow remained,
Just beyond my grasp.
If you can't figure out what it means
To laugh and cry each passing day,
Then I feel sorry for you.
But all living things eventually die,
Its unavoidable,
But as long as you remember,
It will live in your heart forever.
