Seven purple penguins laying their bricks
One got squashed, now there are six
Six purple penguins finally arrived
One got stunned, now there are five
Five purple penguins going through the door
One got stuck, then there were four!
Four purple penguins didn't agree
One left, then there were three
Three purple penguins went to the loo
One got the flu, then there were two
Two purple penguins went for a run
One couldn't make it, then there was one
One purple penguin was all alone
She didn't like it, so she went home.
