Wind that travels from,
The far Arizona deserts,
Rattles fickle shop doors,
And awakes the townsfolk,
Dust that fills farmhouses,
Is swept swiftly from place,
Memories of past generations,
Soon disappear too,
Kids dressed in old denim,
Run amongst swaying cornfields,
Their faces stained with earth,
And scorched by Kansas sun,
As a chill fills the air,
Night sky brings darkness,
But the stars shine brighter than ever,
Over the small town of Holcomb.
