Rainbow Connections

Red is the colour of a rose,
Watch the way the sweet beauty grows.
Orange is the colour of the autumn leaves,
The way they sway in the cold, gloomy breeze.
Yellow is the colour of the bright, hot sun,
When it shines it burns, but not everyone.
Green is the colour of the grass on the ground,
It’s bright not dull, it will always stick around.
Blue is the colour of the crisp, clear sea,
It’s a home for some but not you or me.
Purple is the colour of some sunrise,
You know it’s there because it never dies.
This is what rainbows connect to,
So now go notice the world around you.
