“Just do it!” they scream.
I see dollar signs in their eyes
And a craving on their lips.
Like a drug they’re hooked on money.
Dying for their next fix.
And they don’t care how they get it.
Even if my hands are bleeding, red.
They make tiny ripples in a sea of money
That caresses my boss’ skin.
And all because ‘you’re worth it’
Society. The market. You.
The consumers of our products.
Because our life is worth no more than a pair of shoes.
So am I really lovin’ it?
