Finalist in the 'Read Write Repeat 2015' competition
By the darkest tempests of all
Is a desolate realm of fire and ash
Noxious smoke inundates the call
Of a murmuring mountain of fire
Despair clouds the nefarious zone
All is desolate, and yet it crackles
For a fiery liquid slithers down stone
Sparks drift across the cursed land
Land far and beyond is scourged
By the burning lava’s boiling roads
But when its blazing fury is diverged
The plague of flames finally perish
