Hope is a caged bird, with the broken wings
What was once a joy to listen to, no longer sings
Forever alone, in darkness and despair
What was once right in front of me, is no longer there
Hope is trapped in a cage, there's no way out
Hope is fluttering helplessly, instead of frolicking about
The beautiful voice of Hope, that sung line after line
Is now the sound of silence, and sends chills down my spine
Hope that was once a swan, is now a bird full of sorrow
But I figure it's up to me, to set it free tomorrow
