Like a bright star, she emits light,
Above all us mere mortal beings,
Having power in the dark night,
Without doubt captivating our feelings.
But like a star she only comes out at dark,
In the day she hides behind the sun,
Despite leaving on our hearts a mark,
All she looks for, is a bit of fun.
Her voice is like that of a nightingale,
Melodious and fragile,
An audience she captures without fail,
A great singer, she falls in that aisle.
Though everyone tells her she's pretentious,
She is blind to see that they are all just envious.
