Waves are splashing, planes are crashing as the war started today.
The bombs are falling, the man are calling as their lives are destroyed today.
There's shell fire all around me, I hear the cries of my mate Owdey as he sacrificed his life for me.
Shrapnel is flying, all my men are dying as the war goes on today.
Tanks are blasting, men are asking, will the war end today?
Then the enemy decided to surrender to us, as we marched back to our base, leaving hundreds behind, but never have we forgotten their sacrifice to our country.
