Walking Along The Beach

The sand and sea under a setting sun,
The world revolving as it has always done
The golden sun doesn’t stop for anyone
You keep telling yourself ‘whatever it takes’
But the waves don’t care for your mistakes
The sand is soft between your toes
The cold sea air within your nose
Your thoughts remain where no one knows
You wish you’d done it so much better
Walking life through word and letter
I don’t know if it will end or whether
It stays the same for ever and ever
But nothing ever lasts forever
Make sure you treasure what you've saved
And walk the road you think you’ve paved
