She cuddled her teddy as she lay upon her bed and slept.
Deep in her dreams, this child’s heart constantly wept.
Her awareness of the world became frail and torn.
In her imagination unrealistic events were born.
Her heart beat is going so slow she fears it may stop.
And to dry her puddle of tears, you’d need a mop.
She fears that there is no one near to dry her eyes.
The only noises she hears are her own desperate cries.
But if she just woke from her dreams and opened her eyes.
I can guarantee that this young girl would soon realise.
Her dreams are nothing but a vision of lies.
