In the quiet of night
In the still of air
Those that have gone before
Have now been long forgotten
Though we walk about smiling
Using an affair of celebrations
We truly forget the reason
We act like everything's alright
But if you just listen you'll hear the cries of agony and despair
There are more suffering
We just don't know it
Or maybe we don't want to
But just because you're not seeing it
Doesn't mean it's not happening
So be vigilant and take heed
Before you do see it
And it's too late
