"Together!" Was the last thing I remember from him.
Particles of my body faded in the breeze. I hold my hand out, reaching for his.
But I expected this, my calculations never wrong.
I expected tragedy, I expected sorrow, but never expected this clenching feeling in my chest.
Tears made their way down, both mine and his, as his mouth shouted "No!"
I smiled briefly as I remember us together, holding hands, holding rings, holding children, and holding swords together. The dragon we defeated, was one I created; from my faults, my existence, my reasons.
My eyes and ears didn't believe it, as I mouth parting words, ones I have said a millions times,
"I love you…”
As I fade away, as I jerk awake, as I log off, pulling the helmet away, I realize that I really need to get another RGP game.
