War is violence
War is waste
War is loss
Soldiers die
Innocents die
Blood fills the fields
Meadows become barren
And forests are lit ablaze
Those who choose to fight are sent away to die
Those who choose not to, sometimes get sent away anyway
At the end of War, both sides aren't so different
Both are mourning
Both are crippled
Both suffer dark times for years
Both sides remember those who lost their lives so wastefully
And both swear to never repeat the mistakes of the past ...
Lest We Forget
