It was 10.00am, Sunday February 12th 1970.
“Grandma,” calls a little voice. It was her granddaughter Valerie. She was trying to tell grandma that she wanted to go to the pool.
Grandma decided when they got there she would swim but lucky for her she brought her bathers. But just as grandma got in BANG there was a tsunami. Then the wave picked up poor grandma and sent her flying into the mall.
She was sent to the hospital with only 24 hours to live.
Valerie was 18 and decided to go to New Jersey. when she heard that her grandma had died and the funeral was on the 26th of March.
The day came and it was time to say goodbye to her grandma. “I will never forget you. You will always and forever be in my heart.”
Years went on a Valerie was turning 50 years old. When she thought about the tsunami she realised that she needed to remember that not everything is about her. You need to always keep an eye on your grandma because you never know when a tsunami might hit. To be continued….
