Watch as the velvet curtains draw for the night
And pinning them the stars glint diamond bright
And with grace the moon, a glowing sphere
Waltzes into view, unearthly, austere.
A carpet of crystals, fountain of light
The Milky Way ebbs into sight
Amber dust and liquid like blues
Iridescently twinkling fragmented hues
Trace out their shapes, patterns and tales
Threads interlocking weave tapestries, sails
Of ships that will float till the end of all time
Beautiful and eerie, stellar in their prime
There are so many places, to adventure and go
Bearing who knows if they’re friend or they’re foe
So I’ll finish with this and you listen to me
There’s someone else out there in that unfathomable sea
