O' I wish I had an education
but my family and I are living in poverty with bad sanitation
I am kept at home to clean and cook
but without education I won't even be able to read a book

I walk as slow as a tortoise to fetch water everyday
I am used to it now but it makes me feel grey
I can't go to school as I'm in very poor health
My family don't even have very much wealth

I want to learn and read and write
so one day I could be a knight
The knight in my stories that I say in my head
The ones that some day will be said
