With the universe in my eyes, I drew my path with care
Covered my footprints in fine sand, and let the ocean wash them clear
I was ready to build mountains so that I could jump off and fly
see the life I had created under the blue and boundless sky
I reached the highest peak, prepared for my grand dive
when came into view a small gold dot
Which danced and smelt as sweet as honey from a hive
I tried to look away but my efforts were in vain
For the longer I closed my eyes, the larger the dot became
so that soon the sky turned gold, as did the land and sea
and from that moment on, it was all my heart needed to retrieve
I jumped off to capture that sparkling dot, my eyes left far behind
For what use is sight when you know the world is gold?
It makes no difference to be blind
