I have another side of me I do not like to see
She walks and talks and looks like me; she just won’t leave me be
She haunts my vision late at night
Yet when I smile she’s gone from sight
She crushes my lungs and screams in my ear
“I wish Oh I wish you were no longer here!”
She sits on my shoulder and whispers insanity
She blurs my vision darkening all clarity
She is the waterfall down my face
The reason why my heart will race
I can’t control her she’s far too strong
No one believes me; they say I’m wrong
It’s all in my head but this feels so real
Until she’s gone I cannot heal
I have another side of me nobody likes to see
She does not define who I am, she will never consume me
