Dr. Mindy Hostuins and Dr. Joseph Barent were strolling down the hall of the
Alopen Institute for the Criminally Insane, they were having a lovely
conversation about the new cooking shows that started on TV that night and
who they were hoping would get through. Mindy was 5’8, slim build and
flowing amber–blonde hair, she was just simply strikingly pretty. Joseph was
5’10 of medium build with brown hair that spiked in all the right places
making him a favourite among all doctors. They had both worked a respectable
amount of time at the asylum being, 10 years for Joseph and 9 for Mindy.
A loud alarm interrupted their conversation about chicken teriyaki and they
stopped. They looked around for a second and then it went completely black.
The lights had been shut off. Mindy kept whispering to herself as Joseph led
her towards an office. Then the most terrifying noise came down the
corridor, the doors clanking open and the blood–curdling screams of the
patients. They started going slightly faster now and ran into the office
shutting the door behind them. They could hear the inmates laughing and
screaming and the unmistakable sound of other doctors being killed.
Just at that moment a face peered through the glass of the door, this person
proceeded to open the door slowly and walk into the room. This face was the
one of schizophrenic serial killer Reggie Badgrand. He was wielding a
surgical scalpel smeared with blood and sporting a devilish smile on his
scarred face. “Why hello there doctors,” he subtly said as he peered under
the desk. Joseph jumped forward, crashing into the killer and proceeded to
tell Mindy to run for her life. She ran through the corridor dodging
lunatics and dead doctors on the floor until she was right about to grab the
door handle… and then a patient grabbed her and ripped her away from the
door handle. She uttered a scream of terror as the patient plunged a pair of
surgical scissors into her leg; she cried out in pain but the insane man
kept going, blood covering his face and hands until he stopped abruptly and
fell to the ground.
Mindy looked up to see Dr. Joseph covered in blood with the scalpel sticking
out of his shoulder and wielding a wooden dowel. He pushed her towards the
now available exit. She reached for the handle but was interrupted by the
group of patients gathered around Joseph and herself. “Run!” were Joseph’s
last words as he leaped into the mass, punching whoever he could and making
sure he didn’t miss a swing. Mindy walked out of the building but she could
not help but watch her friend as he was taken down and beaten upon while
screaming loudly, blood flew everywhere, inmates were wielding scissors and
scalpels as they beat him to death. Mindy started to cry as she shut the
door and went to find the police.
