Hours of training,
Hours of straining,
Minutes on stage,
Stressing backstage,
But what if you fail?

Can you bail?
Then you step on,
Handshaking,
Heart-pounding,
Legs failing,
You’re blinded by the lights
You can’t see anyone,
You imagine your room,
You remember,
Moving to the music,
And then you’re dancing.
