Dad and me, aboard a ship
Sea spray came on then decided to drip
Dolphins follow near behind
I’m feeling like they are aligned
Dad and me, hang legs off the rail
Looking down at the boats trail
Waves and rain start to swirl
That thing in sky, it starts to twirl
The captain calls “Get to the life boats!”
So Dad and me, we grab our coats.
Dad and me, we walk and run
Praying we will again see the sun
I see a girl, curled in the corner
So I crouch down and try to warn her
She wouldn’t budge so I gave
That spot in the life boat by acting brave
Dad gave his spot as well as me
That’s dad and me so now you see.
