My Mermaid glides atop the water
body in perfect streamline
beauty shown in every stroke
Making me get lost in time

My Mermaid is sometimes here
But sometimes he's not
Hope lost when I look at the empty bay
But on times when he shows up, all time away is forgot

His eyes blue as a stormy ocean
His hair golden as the morning sand
Teeth shining like a treasured pearl
My Mermaid has my heart in his hand

I haven't seen my mermaid in a while
Each day I check the blue sea
I love my little Mermaid
But my mermaid doesn't love me
