Excellence Award in the 'Top Secret 2016' competition
The moths ignorant obsession with the lantern,
Innocently draws it nearer to a fatality,
Caused by the love it can never have,
And as if oblivious to the way,
The heat burns its wings,
The beauty of something so warm,
Overpowers its will to live,
And as it dies,
The last thing it will ever see,
Is the light that was never close enough to touch.
