Salvation is merely fiction.
Generations of immorality have yielded us this gangrenous life,
A life offering no armour against the hail of callous bullets,
The demons freely run rampant, wreaking devastation upon us.
Our youthful innocence is shredded,
Our beautiful minds lay amongst the debris.
Everyday we bear witness to the darkness,
Yet the darkness never truly leaves us,
It manifests through our thoughts, our words, and our actions.
Only once darkness engulfs our soul do we realise Life’s practical joke.
Hiding from swearing is impossible.
