The bitter sound of human cries
Are a memory of those who lost their lives,
In endless war, big or small,
The awful sight of a soldier's fall.
Bullets streaming through the sky
Even the worst of us don't deserve to die.
Blood is split on arid ground,
Bodies lay still, later to be found.
On the distant horizon, poppies bloom
For many lives have ended too soon.
