Madam psychopath told me that hate drives a person insane
She told me that’s why she ended up here in this cage
She said the hate ate up every cell in her body and brain
It’s hard to contain it. You see when you bottle up: you burst
Couldn’t help the way she was, her mind was at its worst
Delusions and anxiety she couldn’t distort out of
Hate can leave you so damaged, bitter and unheard of
Then she said to me that love drives a person equally insane
She told me that’s why she ended up in this cage
Family couldn’t live, seeing her this way
All she ever did was play and sing in the rain
I’d rather have none, either way, I’m sitting here caged up
Love put me here, empty room full of cracked walls and clumps of dust
Hate did the same, although it hurt me ever too much, eating me up
She only recognised love as a social worker with a key and corrupted lungs
She knew that whether hate or love, they both drove her into this muck
