Dreams are an escape from reality,
A doorway to ecstasy
And a world of fantasy.
Happiness is a dream come true,
And reality forgotten by you.
No matter how much happiness
And oh joy it can bring,
Only realising once it rings.
Shattering and replacing
With the depressing feelings.
Dreams and days will come and go,
But dreams aren’t forever to behold.
Longing for something can’t last,
But please try to leave it in the past.
If anything could be true,
Morning will rise with you and
Reality is who you’re married to.
Misery, yes, you’ll fall, but face it,
Dreams are too good to be true.
