Her spirit was a flame put out by the rain of her eye
Her soul was a sky but the clouds they caved right in
And her head was a rock weighing her down until she couldn't walk
Her smile was a mask slowly vanishing
The world ran in circles
She couldn't keep up
She tried to fly but her wings were weak
Frail her feathers fell to the ground along with her faith
Swooping in with a contagious smile
Wide eyes of glimmering hope
Her spirit was alight again
And she could fly
You are my hero she whispered
As they were soaring in the sunset sky
The angels awaited
