The forest was beautiful, the sun poking through the trees.
Kissed my mum goodbye, greeted the bus driver hello.
The seat was warm, and so was I.
I wasn’t expecting this.
The forest was pretty, the leaves were starting to fall.
Kissed my dad goodbye, greeted my teacher hello.
The sun was mild that day, and so was I.
I wasn’t expecting this.
The forest was glum, the fog was closing in.
Kissed my brother goodbye, greeted my boss hello.
The wind was frigid, and so was I.
I wasn’t expecting this.
The forest was dark, the trees looked brittle.
Kissed my friends goodbye, greeted the end hello.
The grass was dead, and so was I.
I wasn’t expecting this.
