Excellence Award in the 'Word Zone 2016' competition
My emptied happiness has been unseen
Forget the weariness and despairs
For here there is no light.
In fast fading summer,
I take thy pain in passing
Now more than ever,
While I listen in tears.
Many a night I hear thou voice
Amid the muttering haunt of starry fays
Still I am led,
Although I fear it is in vain
For now that I have been in love,
I cannot sleep.
Perhaps my sad heart is now buried deep in a waking dream.
