I saw trees catch ablaze
Every branch of fire going different ways.
I wonder how they caught alight
As day slowly fades to night.
The water ricocheting
While the firefighters praying.
While I am in bed
I hear a shrill screaming in my head.
In the morning, I wonder if I'm still alive
And I am to my surprise.
I look around town, everyone in trouble
Half of the town scorched and in complete rubble.
