War Of The Cat And Fish

I stay inside my bowl,
And wait to see the enemy prowl,
I see the beast leap aboard the kitchen bench,
As it comes closer I smell it's stench,
Smelling strongly of fish,
I hope I'm not it's next dish,
It reaches in one long paw,
Razor sharp claws like a saw,
Reaching for my tail,
And once again it's a fail,
Sensing it's failure it begins to stroll,
Oh how I hope it never comes back again,
For it will be a great pain,
But for that cat it would be a great gain,
This is the war of the cat and fish.
