My Life is hanging
Over a void of darkness and despair.
I am ever waiting
For the end
My hope, I struggle to hold it,
It slips between my fingers and flutters down.
I grip the crumbling edge
Of a world I am forgetting
My fingers slip and I plummet over the edge,
Gaining not only speed, but pain
I look up to see a world fading away
Too far to ever reach again.
My life is falling, falling, falling,
I forget the world,
And the world forgets me,
But I no longer care.
