You are the words you speak,
Not the makeup on your cheeks.
You are the people you love,
Not the models you think of.

What counts is the inside,
The place near your heart.
The tears that you have cried,
And the brain which makes you smart.

You aren't the clothes you wear,
or how you style your hair.
You aren't the number on the scales,
or the colour of your nails.

We are made of so much beauty,
But we seem to forget.
The way we look doesn't decide,
who we really are on the inside.
