I love the shimmering water at the beach,
The soft sand too,
Especially when we get an ice-cream,
But not when we drop it in the sand (thanks little kid in blue).
The beach is such good fun,
Until it’s time to go,
We always collect seashells and enter them in a show.
I hate my pair of bathers,
I left my favourite at home,
My sister prefers the polka dots,
While I like maroon.
Mum says, “It’s time to go,
Time for one last dip.”
I then think of a question,
"Mum can we go on a ship?"
