The river runs through my veins,
Like crystal clear blood.
The salmon play in the waves,
Enjoying the flood.
And the trees grow beside me -
They won't ever stop.
And the fish make the bubbles
That go POP! POP! POP!
In the cold heart of Winter,
A child takes a dip.
On the slimy, ice-bound rocks -
All it takes - one slip.
But I am the river bed,
I'm stuck down below.
The river runs constantly;
I drowned long ago.
