The chilling razorblade of the evening relaxing on my face
The darkness consuming my body like a rug
Sitting by the dusk, my parents thought I’m a disgrace
my confidence and self-control has shattered me, like a bug
there’s no bright light in my body except for hope
the world has been turning the probabilities on me like a landslide
but I keep avoiding keeping on top of the rope
all I can recall is that devilish blaze that all it did was make a fright
but I know there it is still there haunting me
every minute, every hour I’m in the daylight
but I know I’m always in the darkness
