Sacrifice, oh how many people give their lives
The are helping their country but not their family
They set off and leave their children and wives
Their hole in the family is left absently
The women sent biscuits to leave their mark on the war
To make their part in the war effort
But believe me this treat was a worthy galore
For the men trained in the Egypt desert
The tiresome hours, just for the adventure
They had no idea what they were getting into
When they arrived they wanted to surrender
As the boat dropped them off their packs turned them askew
They sacrificed their lives for our health
To finally save our commonwealth
