Life is blooming around me in a single dancing motion
But I’m trapped within this brooding desolate ocean
Just my rowboat and I
With nothing but bodies of water to spy
Boats do pass me by aimlessly
And I can hear laughter filled with glee
For a brief moment, no more am I alone
But it all changes… as they leave for home
I try to paddle to shore
But alas! I end up farther than before
Forever out of my reach
Is that golden paved beach
Each stroke of my paddle I try to stay
But the winds gentle breeze blows me away
Life is blooming around me in a single dancing motion
But… I’m trapped within this brooding desolate ocean
