Excellence Award in the 'Word Zone 2016' competition
The time has come where one must compete,
After many years of tireless training,
This means the world to every athlete,
For they don’t intend on failing,
The noisy crowds are all but passive,
They are barracking for their nation,
For this universal event is massive,
And fills all with great elation,
It’s the Olympics, if you could not see,
Every four years it shall arrive,
And the excitement never ceases to be,
For many competitors begin to thrive,
When the games begin, not all shall win,
There are few who stand victorious,
But if they do, they bear a grin,
And wear a medal that is glorious.
