I could hear the people cheering in the crowd
Waiting enthusiastically for me to hop out
My heart is thumping ferociously inside my chest
Excitedly hoping that I beat my personal best
Perseverance was my golden key
To successfully make it into the Paralympics team
Growing up with one leg made me feel melancholic and depressed
Until I suddenly realised that I am truly blessed!
I have my jovial family by my side
And that is all I need along with my pride
No matter what happens now, my personal goal has been achieved!
I'm already a winner because I truly believed!
